Floors - Interior
Our interior concrete floors begin with acid-staining and other coloring techniques and continue with custom sealing and finishing specific to your surface. Almost all interior concrete was originally poured to a smooth finish, which means almost all concrete of any age can be transformed into a beautiful, durable and affordable stained floor for living, work and play. Interior stained floors are appropriate for residential, commercial and industrial applications.

The entry and hallways of this new church are stained with a combination of green, brown and red acid & dye stains. The mostly perimeter scoring provides large blocks of color that follow the long sightlines of the public areas.

Older floors are usually excellent candidates for staining. This residential concrete, previously carpeted, was stained with Kemiko ‘Black’. The final color is a marbled mix of black, gray-tones and dark walnut, finished with a clear sealer and acrylic topcoat.

Stained concrete is ideal for all rooms and types of activity in the home, as demonstrated in this new residence. A rich mix of walnut and dark earth-toned stains runs continuously across multiple split-level scored living areas.

Kemiko ‘Cola’ and ‘English Red’, spiked with a little ‘Black’, provide the rich acid-stained color on this retail sales floor. Existing expansion cuts serve as decorative ‘scoring’. The high performance industrial coatings here are also used on our residential floors.

Acid-stained and scored concrete in a reconstructed country loft. Kemiko ‘Cola’ stain and a large block scoring pattern highlight the colors and textures of the reclaimed timber and rustic décor.

The organic beauty of concrete allows it to pair well with other natural flooring and transition materials such as wood, stone, brick and tile. The softer contrast of rugs and carpeting is an excellent visual counterpoint.
